Anuradhapura & Wilpattu Excursion

Pick up from the hotel at 07.00 a.m. and transfer to Wilpattu.
Jeep safari at the Wilpattu National Park by jeep.

Wilpattu National Park
508 square miles (131.694 hectares) in extent and it was declared as a National Park in 1938.
The special feature in this Park is the large number of Villus (lakes) where you can watch wild life and many species of birds.
Leopards were the most famous animals in this Park and Wild Elephant herds. Spotted Deer, Sambhur, Barking Deer, Wild Boar, Wild Buffalo, sloth Bear, Mongoose, Crocodile and Peacocks are also found here.

Then transfer to Anuradhapura and visit the famous UNESCO Word heritage site.

This world heritage site is the first kingdom of Sri Lanka from the 05th to the 10th century of B.C.
It is the most celebrated city with ancient ruins which are the greatest treasures including dagobas (religious building) constructed of bricks and hemispherical in shape and the rest are related to ancient kings.
It was one of the most stable and durable centers of political power and urban life in South Asia.
